Well I seem to have hit a plateau. I am going to have to up my exercise it seems. I know it has only been a few days, but we are only a week from my 15th wedding anniversary and it was a goal to have dropped 20 lbs by then. I have 3 to go. It's doable if I can break through this wall.
Not much else to say. Yesterday was busy. Got up, walked the dogs, went to work, came home and worked some more (monitoring a release), then made dinner and had to go to band practice. I am having fun with the band, but I wish sound checks didn't take an hour.
Not much else to say.

Hiya! I think I found your blog through a comment you left on Lyn's blog...I think it was hers anyway. I just went through and read through your posts back to the one that startd with "it's been a while". You make me laugh, and I know that's probably a horrible thing to say w/ you having such severe marital problems right now...but I heard your sense of humor coming through in certain things you said and that's so important...especially during difficult times.
I'm sorry your dog died...that just kills me. I have a little peekapoo named Scarlette, and I don't have any human children, so she is my life. She'll be 2 in August and she's my sunshine. I had to laugh out loud at the names Helen of Troy and Bilbo. Is that Bilbo Baggins perhaps???? I love LOTR if it is....!
And I noticed you said you were working "monitoring a release"....which immediately made me think of my boyfriend who works as a Quality Assurance Lead for HP, so I was wondering if you worked in IT or software security like he does.
Anyway...I'm glad I found your blog. I'm very proud of your weight loss so far! And that triathalon!!! FANTASTIC JOB!!! That truly is an amazing accomplishment. Dwayne and I just got back from 9 days in Panama City Beach on Sunday, and they had a triathalon down there this past weekend. We drove down and saw a lot of the participants and my heart just swelled with pride for them. So awesome. And my heart broke for you when you said your wife had so much notice, but booked a camping trip instead and your youngin's didn't get to see their dad do such an amazing thing. A triathalon is no small feat and something I could only DREAM of ever doing...not that I even want to, lol. I'm still too fat and floppy to even THINK about that kind of killer exercise right now, lol.
Stop by my blog some time and say hi! I'll be cheering you on! :)
Thanks for following me, Tammy, and I sure will follow you!
To answer your questions - yes, I am in IT. I am a programmer and project manager. We have a number of short release cycles coming up, so I will be "monitoring a release" several timese between now and September. Ugh.
Old Hokie. He was very loving and devoted, and lived with us a long time. I still miss him. And yes the Bilbo is for Bilbo "the beagle" Baggins. Like a hobbit - he is small and hairy and tougher than he looks, and really when all is said and done, all he wants to do is hang out with his peeps at home.
The triathlon was fun, and don't sell yourself short - you can do it. All you have to do is a little bit each day. I didn't run the whole 5 k part. I walked my bike a little bit, and did some back stroke when swimming, but just kept going. Being top ten takes athleticism, dedication, and intensity. Finishing it just takes a will to finish. And you have that, I am sure!
Thanks again for being my first follower! It ceases to be a soliloquoy!
